These terms govern your use of k-decoded.com (the "Site"), including its articles, vocabulary tools, and Community discussion feature. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Who can use the Site
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Community account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.
Reading the Site
Articles, vocabulary lists, and flashcards are free to browse — no account required. Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes and reflects our own research, experience, and opinion at the time of writing. Prices, hours, event dates, and product availability can change after publication, so double-check anything time-sensitive before you rely on it.
Community accounts and content
- Sign-in: posting in the Community requires a passwordless email sign-in. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address secure.
- Your content: you keep ownership of anything you post (topics, replies, images). By posting, you grant K-Decoded a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute that content on the Site as part of operating the Community.
- Your responsibility: you're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that violates someone else's rights.
- Guidelines: all Community activity is subject to our Community Guidelines. We may hide, edit, lock, or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate them.
Prohibited conduct
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
- Impersonate another person, post spam, or use the Community for unsolicited advertising or scams.
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its underlying systems.
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law.
Intellectual property
Original articles, graphics, and site design are owned by K-Decoded unless otherwise credited. You may quote or link to our content with attribution; please don't republish full articles without permission. Product names, brand names, and images referenced in reviews belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary purposes.
Affiliate links and advertising
Some posts contain affiliate links, and the Site displays ads through Google AdSense. See our Privacy Policy for details on how that works and what data it involves. These arrangements never determine whether or how we review a product.
Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites (retailers, event pages, social media, other blogs) for reference. We don't control and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.
No warranty
The Site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, K-Decoded won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including reliance on any information, product review, or user-posted content.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Community access at any time for conduct that violates these terms or our Community Guidelines.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
