I picked up the LABO·H Scalp Strengthening Roll-On Serum at Olive Young, and got lucky: it came bundled in a set with a sample-size shampoo, which I’ll review separately. This post is just about the roll-on serum itself, since that’s the one I’ve actually had time to put through its paces.

What’s actually in it

The formula leans on 유산균 (yusangyun), probiotics, in the form of a fermented lysate, alongside ceramide, PDRN, biotin, and collagen. The pitch is 마이크로바이옴 (maikeurobaiom), microbiome, balance for the 두피 (dupi), scalp — treating it like skin with its own bacterial ecosystem to keep in check, rather than just something hair grows out of.

The click-and-roll application

Each pen has a clicker on the bottom: twist it and it releases a cooling, almost menthol-like serum through a roll-on tip. I roll it directly onto my scalp after washing my hair, section by section, then massage it in with my fingertips. Koreans would call that tingle 시원함 (siwonham), a cool, refreshing sensation, and it’s honestly the best part of the routine. A few clicks per section is plenty, and the sensation afterward is genuinely nice, not just tolerable.

Early results with hair shedding

I deal with a fair amount of 탈모 (talmo), hair loss, so I went in with low expectations. Roll-on scalp serums promise a lot and rarely deliver fast. But after just a few days of consistent use, I’ve noticed the shedding has actually lessened. It’s early, and I want to see if that holds up over weeks rather than days, but it’s the first product in a while that’s given me a reason to keep watching.

Verdict

A well-designed applicator with an ingredient list that actually targets the scalp instead of just the strands, and early results that have kept me using it daily. The 15 ml size means it won’t last forever at daily use, but for now, this has earned a permanent spot in my post-wash routine.
