If your feed has turned into wall-to-wall Hello Kitty in a hanbok this week, you’re not imagining it. Olive Young and Sanrio just launched their biggest 콜라보 (kollabo) to date — 321 products across 81 brands — and it’s already the kind of drop people are filming unboxing hauls of before it even finishes selling out.
What “City Log” actually is
The campaign is called OLIVE YOUNG City Log, running August 30 through September 30, 2026 in Korean stores (Olive Young Global’s own promotional pricing window online runs August 30–September 5, KST). Compared to last year’s Sanrio collaboration, that’s a 170% jump in participating brands and a 50% jump in product count — officially the largest Sanrio collab Olive Young has done.
Every item is a 한정판 (hanjeongpan), limited edition — Olive Young has said stock is limited, and past collabs like this haven’t gotten restocks once they’re gone.
The goods
Plenty of sets bundle in 굿즈 (gudeu), branded merch — hair clips, pouches, keyrings, luggage tags, stickers, and puff cases — alongside full-size and mini product 세트 (seteu), sets. For a lot of buyers, the merch is as much the draw as the product itself — these are the pieces showing up most in TikTok haul videos.
Pictured above is a small sample of the goods — leopard-print pouches, raincoat keyrings, hair clips — and some of these specific pieces look tied to Olive Young’s Seongsu pop-up rather than general stock, so don’t be surprised if a particular keyring is harder to track down outside of it. That doesn’t take away from the rest of the lineup, though — the actual skincare and makeup sets are stocked at Olive Young stores all across Korea, not just one location.
The concept: Sanrio characters touring Korea
Instead of just slapping character art on existing packaging, City Log builds a whole visual concept: Hello Kitty and friends styled around 12 different Korean regions, each tied to something local — Jeonju bibimbap, Gongju chestnuts, Udo (Jeju) peanuts, and cities including Seoul, Busan, and Suwon among them. If you’ve read our Busan vs. Seoul breakdown, it’s a genuinely fun overlap — the same two cities, now with a Sanrio character assigned to each one’s food identity.
Beyond the regional artwork, the collection spans a few other visual styles entirely: a traditional hanbok Hello Kitty, school-uniform and leopard-print streetwear versions, and a pixel-art take — enough range that it doesn’t read as one repeated design stamped across 321 products.
Who’s in it
Hello Kitty leads, but the lineup pulls in Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hangyodon, each paired with different brands rather than one character per product. Some of the brand pairings worth knowing:
- ABIB — serums and sheet masks, Kuromi and Pochacco editions
- ANUA — PDRN serums, creams, and mists, Cinnamoroll edition
- Goodal — Green Tangerine vitamin C line, Pompompurin edition
- rom&nd — lip tints and cushions, Kuromi and Hangyodon editions
- Torriden — Dive-In hyaluronic acid serum sets
- S.NATURE — Aqua Squalane moisturizing cream, Hello Kitty edition
- Mise-en-scène — Perfect Serum, Pochacco edition
- HANYUL — mugwort creams and serums, Hello Kitty edition
- LABO-H — Scalp Cooling & No-Sebum shampoo sets, Hangyodon edition
That’s three sets out of 321 products — the full lineup is genuinely too large to summarize, and worth just browsing yourself on Olive Young Global rather than waiting on a complete list from anyone. Here’s a quick scroll through the collection so you can see just how much there is:
That LABO-H set is worth flagging if you already know the brand — we reviewed their scalp roll-on serum separately, and this is the same scalp-care line in Sanrio packaging rather than a new formula.
Why it’s blowing up right now
Between the character range, the regional concept, and genuinely limited stock, City Log has landed as a collector event as much as a beauty launch — TikTok is full of unboxings and mini hauls, and once specific keyrings or sets go 품절 (pumjeol), sold out, they tend to stay that way rather than restocking.
Good to know before you shop
- It ships internationally, but not everywhere. Olive Young Global covers a long list of countries, but as of this launch it’s not shipping to the US.
- Don’t wait on a specific piece. With genuinely limited stock and no restock precedent from past Sanrio collabs, the popular character/brand pairings (Hello Kitty and Kuromi especially) are the first to disappear.
- Physical Olive Young stores are themed too — regional store exteriors and photo zones are part of the campaign, so it’s worth a look in person if you’re already near one in Korea, not just something you shop for online.
